The Guangzhou Post Expo Hall hosted Cartier's retrospective exhibition on its Panthère motif, running from 20 April to 21 May 2023.

The Guangzhou Post Expo Hall is an exhibition venue housed in a historic postal building in the old city core, close to the Pearl River waterfront. Its stone facade, tall interiors and sequence of large halls give it a formal, institutional character. Outside exhibition periods it functions as a heritage and civic display space rather than a commercial gallery, with entry through a single controlled front approach.
The halls were converted into a ticketed, one-way exhibition route. Introductory rooms set out the origins of the Panthère motif from 1914 onward, followed by darker enclosed sections where objects and imagery were displayed under controlled lighting. Later rooms presented contemporary interpretations of the motif, with visitors moving through sequentially before exiting.
Heritage exhibition halls suit jewellery retrospectives: ceilings allow controlled lighting, walls take neutral finishes, and the sequence of rooms supports a chronological narrative. The central location draws a general city audience beyond existing clients, and the institutional character lends the display a museum framing rather than a retail one.
