A century-old former municipal government building near Shanghai's Bund hosted Cartier's leopard-themed immersive exhibition across its historic interiors.

The venue is a century-old former municipal government building standing a few blocks from the Bund waterfront in Shanghai's Huangpu district. Its granite elevations, long corridors, tall windows and sequence of formal rooms reflect its original civic use. The building has been restored and reopened as a cultural and commercial complex, with exhibition halls and courtyard areas now used for public programmes, ticketed shows and品牌 events. (Note: interior configuration details not verified.)
Inside the building, the exhibition was organised as a sequence of themed zones, with jungle scenery built into the historic rooms. Displays traced the leopard motif through the brand's jewellery and watch lines from 1914 onward, alongside archival pieces shown in vitrines. Circulation moved visitors from one chapter to the next rather than through a single open hall, and an opening ceremony was held during the run.
Heritage interiors give jewellery exhibitions a reading room quality that white boxes lack: the stone, woodwork and layered rooms supply texture and a sense of time that suits archival displays. The Bund location also places the venue within an established gallery-going and luxury-retail circuit, so visitors arrive already inclined to walk through a ticketed cultural presentation.
