Bvlgari at Deji Plaza — B.zero1 Pop-up Exhibition Nanjing (2022)

Deji Plaza's outdoor central atrium hosted Bvlgari's B.zero1 pop-up exhibition in March 2022.

The venue

Deji Plaza is a shopping mall in central Nanjing. The project occupied the mall's outdoor central atrium, an open-air court that forms part of the exterior circulation and gathering area. It is normally used by shoppers moving between the mall entrances and retail floors, and it is visible from the surrounding frontage. The court provides a flat floor area for temporary structures.

How the space was used

For the B.zero1 presentation, the atrium held a temporary pavilion organised as a ring of arches, drawn from the spiral form of the jewellery collection. Inside, a story wall described the series' evolution. Visitors moved through the arched gallery and display zone, while the open structure kept the installation visible from the mall frontage and surrounding circulation.

Deji Plaza's outdoor atrium suits jewellery pop-ups because it combines mall footfall with a defined, controllable footprint. Shoppers encounter the installation on their normal route rather than making a separate trip. The open court allows a pavilion to read as a room within the mall exterior, supporting short display-led runs.
