Shanghai's Zhongshan Park hosted a three-day Burberry and Xiaohongshu outdoor build across its lawns and boating lake.

Zhongshan Park is a public park in Shanghai's Changning District, with open lawns, mature trees, paths and a boating lake. It is used as an everyday city park: walking, picnics, family outings and boat rental on the water. Its open ground and waterfront allow temporary structures to be installed without adapting a building, and visitors move through it casually rather than as ticketed spectators.
During the three-day activation the park's lawn held a picnic and camping set built in Burberry's check, alongside a royal blue food truck positioned as a photo point. Boats on the park's water were dressed in the same check pattern. Visitors moved between lawn and waterfront on foot, meeting the installation as part of an ordinary weekend walk rather than a scheduled visit.
Parks suit low-commitment brand builds: entry is free and unplanned, footfall is highest at weekends, and open ground takes temporary structures without permanent modification. A fashion house using picnic and boating imagery reads as leisure rather than retail, and the setting lets passers-by encounter the brand while already at ease outdoors.
