Plaza 66's outdoor art area hosted a hedged English-garden pop-up for Burberry's summer and Qixi collections, running from June to August 2026.

Plaza 66 is a luxury shopping complex on Nanjing West Road in Jing'an, Shanghai, with retail podiums set behind a street edge. Its outdoor art area is a paved open-air strip at ground level beside the mall entrances, used for installations and seasonal displays. The surface is flat and exposed, bordered by the mall frontage and surrounding office and hotel blocks.
The forecourt was built out as an enclosed English garden. A maze of artificial hedges formed the entry, its floor printed with the brand check, leading past white animal sculptures and mirror fountains to a hexagonal glass greenhouse holding the merchandise. A green coffee truck, checked lawn seating and an oversized outdoor chessboard filled the surrounding paving.
The site is open-air yet already part of a luxury retail address, so a brand can build a landscape without leaving the mall's clientele. Its flat paving and defined perimeter suit modular structures, and the garden format gives shoppers a reason to linger between the street and the doors.
