A five-zone art and fashion exhibition by Burberry took over the theatre rooms of Fanxing Theatre Village in Chengdu's Eastern Suburb Memory.

Eastern Suburb Memory is a cultural-creative district in eastern Chengdu, converted from industrial buildings and used for exhibitions, performance and retail. Fanxing Theatre Village sits inside it: a cluster of small black-box theatre rooms and corridors rather than a single open hall. Spaces are entered one at a time, usually kept dark, and are hired for performances, screenings and temporary exhibitions.
The exhibition took over the theatre rooms as a sequence of named zones — Creation Fantasy, Algorithm Garden, Plural Shu Realm, Mirror Corridor and Daydream Wasteland. Visitors moved from one enclosed room to the next, each holding a separate installation of light, sound, moving image and objects. A mirrored corridor acted as the transition between the darker, object-based rooms.
Rooms inside a theatre village can be darkened and closed off individually, which suits installations depending on controlled light and sound. The surrounding cultural district brings an audience already moving between exhibitions, performances and shops, so a ticketed walk-through show can sit alongside the park's other cultural programming.
