Balenciaga at Taikoo Hui Guangzhou — Balenciaga Taikoo Hui Flagship Expansion (2026)

The Balenciaga flagship at Taikoo Hui in Guangzhou reopened on 27 March 2026 after an expansion to 572 sqm.

The venue

Taikoo Hui is a retail and office complex on Tianhe Road in Guangzhou's Tianhe district. Its mall concourse gathers luxury fashion, watch and beauty tenants across several levels. The Balenciaga unit sits on the luxury floor with frontage onto the main circulation route. Following the expansion the store measures 572 sqm, close to double its size at the 2022 opening, arranged as linked rooms rather than a single hall.

How the space was used

The refurbished interior is divided by product: womenswear and menswear ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, accessories, jewellery and eyewear, with the Summer 26 collection "The Heartbeat" as the opening display. A separate area previews the Autumn 26 collection "Body and Being" and shows the Radar sneaker before its 30 March release. Guests moved through the rooms during the reopening event.

Why it works here

Luxury floors in mixed-use malls concentrate comparable tenants, so a single-unit expansion reads to shoppers already in the building. The unit's position on the main route supports both daily retail and evening receptions; the added floor area gives room to show two collections and a footwear preview at the same time.
